The Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops has a 3.5-inch black oxide coated stainless blade, a gray aluminum handle, a thumb stud and a pocket clip, closing to 4.5 inches on a liner lock.
Gray aluminum is the quieter option in the Extreme Ops line, where most versions run black, and anodizing puts the color into the metal surface rather than on top of it so it cannot chip. Aluminum keeps the handle rigid without weight, which is what lets a 4.5-inch folder stay unobtrusive in a pocket.
