Description
The Smith & Wesson First Response has a matte finish stainless blade with a thumb lug and First Response etching, a matte stainless frame with black sure grip inlays and an integrated seat belt cutter, closing to 4.625 inches.
The seat belt cutter is a hooked blade set into the frame, separate from the main edge. It catches webbing and pulls it into the cut without the point ever going near whoever is wearing the belt. That is the whole reason a rescue knife looks different from a folder, and it is why the hook sits outside the handle where it can be used with the blade closed.
A thumb lug on the blade opens the knife one-handed, which matters when the other hand is occupied. Sure grip inlays set into the stainless frame give purchase where bare metal turns slick with water or blood. Explore more Tactical Linerlocks.
- Integrated seat belt cutter, usable with the blade closed
- Hook pulls webbing into the cut, away from the wearer
- Thumb lug opens the knife one-handed
- 4.625 inches closed with sure grip inlays
