The Smith & Wesson M and P Fixed Blade has a 4-inch black oxide coated partially serrated 8Cr13MoV blade with a full tang at 8.75 inches overall in a tan aluminum and black rubber handle and a MOLLE compatible thermoplastic belt sheath.

The handle combines two materials for a reason. Aluminum gives the rigid structure while rubber overmolding supplies the grip, so the knife stays firm in hand without the cold, slick feel bare metal has. The edge is split, plain toward the tip and serrated nearer the handle. That puts the controlled section where detail cutting happens and the aggressive section where the hand can push hardest, which is what rope and webbing need.
