Description

The Smith & Wesson M and P has a 3.25-inch black finish stainless tanto blade with a partially serrated edge, a tan rubberized aluminum handle, assisted opening, a thumb stud, a glass breaker, a belt and cord cutter and a pocket clip, closing to 4.63 inches.

Three tools in one folder is the point here. The glass breaker is a hardened point at the butt for tempered auto glass, and the belt cutter is a hooked blade separate from the main edge that catches webbing without the point going near the wearer. Both work with the blade closed, which is how a rescue tool has to function.

Assisted opening means a spring finishes the motion once the stud is pushed, so the blade deploys in one movement even with gloved hands. Rubberizing over aluminum gives grip where bare metal turns slick with water or blood. Explore more Assisted Opening Knives.
