The Smith & Wesson SWAT has a black finish stainless blade with a partially serrated edge, dual thumb studs, anodized aluminum handles with textured black inserts and assisted opening, closing to 4.25 inches.

This is the serrated medium SWAT, where the plain edge version runs an unbroken blade. Serrations near the handle saw through rope, webbing and packing strap, and the plain section forward keeps the controlled cutting. That split makes it the better choice for anyone cutting cordage regularly and the worse one for clean slicing.
