The Smith & Wesson SWAT has a black finish stainless blade with dual thumb studs, anodized aluminum handles with textured black inserts and assisted opening, closing to 4.25 inches.
At 4.25 inches closed this is the medium SWAT, where the large runs 4.875, and the shorter frame sits in a trouser pocket rather than needing a jacket or belt. Dual thumb studs mean the blade opens one-handed from either side, so the knife works the same whichever hand reaches for it.
Textured inserts set into the aluminum give grip where bare anodized metal turns slick, without the weight of a full synthetic scale.
