C. Sherman Johnson Midship Splice Line Gate Kit

The C. Sherman Johnson Midship Splice Line Gate Kit adds a boarding gate to one side of a Dyneema lifeline installation. It is arranged for a midship gate, where the lifeline needs controlled openings on both sides of the access area rather than simply terminating at the stern. The hardware is designed around spliced synthetic line so the gate can integrate with Johnson’s broader Splice Line lifeline system. This kit covers one side of the boat, so a matching kit is needed if the same arrangement is required on the opposite side.

The package includes an LS-3100 over-center gate hook with splice eye, an LS-3200 splice-eye-to-splice-eye fitting, an LS-3300 gate-eye-to-splice-eye fitting, and an LS-3400 adjuster with splice eye. It also supplies 6 ft of Dyneema for the gate section. Together, those components create the release, hinge, connecting, and adjustment points required for a functional midship gate. The design keeps the synthetic line away from wire-only terminals and allows the gate hardware to remain compact.
