The Cold Steel Super Edge has a 2-inch satin AUS-8A stainless spear point blade with a serrated edge at 4.25 inches overall, a black Kray-Ex handle, a lanyard hole and a Secure-Ex sheath with a keyring.

At 4.25 inches overall the whole knife is barely longer than a house key, and the keyring on the sheath says how it is meant to be carried. A fully serrated 2-inch edge is a deliberate choice. Serrations cut cord, tape, zip ties and packaging far better than a short plain edge, and those are the jobs a keyring knife actually gets.

AUS-8A is sub-zero quenched, a heat treatment converting more of the steel to hard martensite, which raises edge holding without leaving it brittle. Kray-Ex is a soft thermoplastic that stays tacky when wet, and Secure-Ex holds the blade with a positive snap. Explore more Boot and Neck Knives.
