The Cold Steel Tuff Lite has a 2.5-inch satin AUS-8A stainless sheepsfoot blade, a black Griv-Ex handle, a thumb pull, a lanyard hole and a pocket clip, closing to 3.5 inches on the Tri-Ad lock.
This is the full-size Tuff Lite, where the Mini drops to a 2-inch blade in a 3-inch frame. The extra half inch of edge is the difference between a knife that opens packages and one that also handles cord and cardboard properly. The sheepsfoot has a straight edge with almost no point, so the whole length stays in contact through a cut and nothing can stab what lies underneath.
The Tri-Ad lock adds a stop pin between the blade tang and the locking bar, so impact is absorbed rather than battering the lock face. AUS-8A is sub-zero quenched, which raises edge holding without leaving the steel brittle, and Griv-Ex keeps the knife light. Explore more Folding Knives.
