Victron VE.Bus BMS NG for Lithium NG Batteries

The Victron VE.Bus BMS NG manages Victron Lithium NG batteries in VE.Bus inverter and inverter charger systems, with Bluetooth.

Lithium NG batteries report current and state of charge directly to the BMS, so a separate SmartShunt is not needed. That removes a component, a heavy cable connection and a configuration step from the installation, which is a real saving on a system that already has a lot of parts.

It is specific to Lithium NG batteries and to VE.Bus inverters, so both sides have to match. The V2 version covers Lithium Battery Smart cells instead, and the two generations communicate differently rather than being interchangeable.

Built-in Bluetooth handles setup, monitoring and firmware updates through VictronConnect. Cell conditions are monitored continuously, which is what allows the BMS to act before a cell reaches a damaging state rather than after. Explore more battery management systems.
