The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 500 NG M10 manages Victron Lithium NG LiFePO4 banks on 12V, 24V and 48V, with a 500A contactor.
Five hundred amps continuous and 600A for five minutes is the contactor rating, against 1000A on the larger unit. Sizing follows the maximum current the system will actually draw, and an inverter is usually what sets that figure rather than the charging side.
The five-minute figure matters because a large inverter starting a compressor draws well above its continuous rating briefly. A contactor sized only on continuous draw can be tripped by a load that is entirely normal.
