The Victron Lynx Smart BMS 1000 NG M10 manages Victron Lithium NG LiFePO4 banks on 12V, 24V and 48V, with a 1000A contactor.

NG is the battery generation this manages, and it is not interchangeable with the Smart battery version. Victron makes a Lynx Smart BMS 1000 for Lithium Battery Smart cells and this one for Lithium NG cells. The batteries communicate differently, so the wrong BMS will not manage the bank correctly.

The 1000A contactor is rated for 1000A continuous and 1200A for a limited period. It is a secondary safety layer rather than the primary control. Normal operation uses allow-to-charge, allow-to-discharge and DVCC signals, and the contactor physically opens only if those fail to act.

Managing up to 50 batteries in parallel suits a large installation rather than a typical recreational bank. M10 refers to the terminal size, which has to match the lugs on the cable being connected. Explore more battery management systems.
