Description
The Victron SmallBMS is a simple, low-cost alternative to the VE.Bus BMS, able to replace it in several applications. It's not suitable for use with VE.Bus MultiPlus and Quattro inverter/chargers, since it has no VE.Bus interface.
It's intended for use with Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries fitted with M8 circular connectors. It plugs directly into that connector type without an adapter cable.
The SmallBMS has three outputs, similar to the VE.Bus BMS. The Load Disconnect output is normally high and becomes free-floating in case of cell under-voltage, a default of 2.8V per cell that's adjustable on the battery itself. Check out the rest of our battery management systems.
