The Victron Orion-TR Smart 24/12-30A Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter is a programmable 360W charger and power supply with Bluetooth.

Non-isolated is the cheaper of the two constructions, and it shares an electrical ground between input and output. That is fine on a fiberglass hull. On steel or aluminum the shared ground gives galvanic current a path through the hull itself, and the isolated version is required rather than preferred.

Smart designates the programmable version, with Bluetooth for monitoring and configuration through VictronConnect. The plain Orion-TR converters are fixed-output power supplies with no charging algorithm and no app, so the two lines answer different needs.

The adaptive three-stage algorithm supports lead-acid and lithium, and a remote on/off input allows external control. Three hundred and sixty watts at 30 amps of 12V output suits a service battery charged from a 24V alternator. Explore more DC-DC converters and power supplies.
