Victron MultiPlus 24V 3000W 70A Inverter Charger

The Victron MultiPlus 24V 3000VA is a pure sine wave inverter, a 70A adaptive charger and a 50A AC transfer switch in one unit.

PowerAssist is the feature that justifies the MultiPlus over separate components. It prevents overload of a limited AC source. When the shore supply is close to its limit, it first reduces battery charging, then supplements the incoming power with energy from the batteries. So a 16A pedestal can run loads that would otherwise trip it.

The 50A transfer switch changes to inverter operation in less than 20 milliseconds when external AC is lost. That is fast enough that computers and electronics keep running rather than rebooting, which a slower changeover would not manage.

Multiple units can run in parallel for greater output, with three-phase or split-phase configurations where the model and installation allow.
