This is an inverter only, with no charger and no transfer switch, which is the difference from the MultiPlus at the same output. That suits an installation where charging is already handled by a separate unit, or where the boat is charged from solar and never sees shore power. Buying a MultiPlus in that case pays for functions that will not be used.

SinusMax technology combines high-frequency and line-frequency design to give efficiency without losing peak-power capability. That peak capability is what starts refrigeration compressors and electric motors, which draw a large surge for a moment and stall a nominally adequate inverter.
