The Victron MultiPlus 12V 3000VA is a pure sine wave inverter with a 120A adaptive charger and a 50A transfer switch.

The charger rating is what separates this from the 24V version of the same unit: 120 amps here against 70 amps there. That difference is not arbitrary. At 12 volts a bank of the same energy capacity needs roughly twice the current to charge in the same time, so the 12V model gets the larger charger.

One hundred and twenty amps suits a large 12V house bank that needs returning overnight rather than trickled over days. PowerAssist prevents a limited AC source being overloaded, first reducing charging current as demand rises, then supplementing the shore or generator supply with battery power.
