The Victron Lynx Shunt VE.Can is a 1000A monitoring shunt combining positive and negative busbars with a main-fuse location.
Measuring current at the busbar rather than at the battery is what makes a modular system honest. Every charge source and every load passes through the Lynx busbars, so nothing gets connected around the shunt and go uncounted the way it can on a battery-terminal installation.
The CNN main system fuse is not included, which is easy to miss when ordering. The module gives the location and connections, and the fuse itself has to be specified for the system and bought separately.
The positive side holds the fuse position and the negative side contains the precision shunt. That arrangement puts the two things most likely to need attention in one accessible place rather than at opposite ends of a battery compartment. Explore more battery monitoring.
