Victron SmartShunt 500A Bluetooth Smart Battery Shunt

The Victron SmartShunt 500A/50mV is an all-in-one battery monitor using a phone, tablet or GX device as its display, with a VE.Direct port.

This is the standard version against the IP65, so it needs a dry or protected mounting position. The two are otherwise identical, and the decision is entirely about where in the boat the shunt will actually sit.

The VE.Direct port connects it into a wider Victron system rather than leaving it as a standalone monitor. That is how battery data reaches a GX device and then a chartplotter or the VRM portal, which is where most people would actually look.
