Victron Centaur 24V 30A 3-Bank Battery Charger

The Victron Centaur is a 24V 30A three-stage three-bank charger with universal AC input and three isolated outputs.

Twenty-four volts is the first thing to confirm, since the 12V Centaur models will not serve a 24V system whatever the amperage matches. Larger boats, thruster installations and commercial vessels commonly run 24V house systems, which is where this belongs.

Three isolated outputs let separate starting, house and auxiliary banks be maintained at once, with each output able to deliver the full rated current as demand shifts. Isolation matters where the banks are different ages or chemistries, since they are never electrically tied together through the charger.

The aluminum epoxy powder-coated housing, drip shield, stainless fasteners and acrylic-coated circuit boards address heat, humidity, salt air and corrosion directly. Three-stage charging runs bulk, timed absorption and float with temperature compensation, and a DIP switch selects the voltage profile for flooded, gel or AGM batteries.
