Victron Centaur 12V 60A 3-Bank Battery Charger

The Victron Centaur is a 12V 60A three-stage three-bank charger with universal AC input and three isolated outputs.

Sixty amps is the largest Centaur in this line, and each of the three isolated outputs can deliver the full rated current as demand shifts between banks. Isolated outputs matter more than the amperage on a boat with mixed battery types or ages, since the banks are never electrically tied together through the charger.

The universal input also accepts a high-voltage DC supply, so the Centaur works in AC-DC or DC-DC applications rather than only from shore power. That is unusual on a marine charger and useful where a generator or a high-voltage DC bus is the available source.

Three-stage charging runs bulk, then a timed absorption once output current falls to the set threshold, then float, with an internal temperature sensor adjusting voltage as conditions change. A DIP switch matches charge and float voltages to flooded, gel or AGM batteries, and thermal protection reduces output under extreme conditions rather than shutting down.
