Victron Centaur 12V 100A 3-Bank Battery Charger

The Victron Centaur is a 12V 100A three-stage three-bank charger with universal AC input and three isolated outputs.

One hundred amps is the top of the Centaur range and a serious draw from a shore supply. A 12V 100A charger pulls enough that the pedestal service should be checked before installation. At that capacity it suits a large vessel with substantial 12V banks, where a smaller charger simply cannot return them between uses.

Three isolated outputs charge separate banks at once, each able to deliver the full rated current depending on how the batteries are drawing. Isolation matters most at this capacity, since 100 amps reaching the wrong bank through a shared output causes damage rather than inconvenience.

The universal input covers a wide range of shore voltages and frequencies without adjustment, and also accepts a suitable high-voltage DC supply. Three-stage charging runs bulk, timed absorption and float with temperature compensation, and a DIP switch selects flooded, gel or AGM voltages.
