The Samlex SDC-30 is a non-isolated DC-DC converter stepping 24V down to a regulated 13.8V, at up to 30 amps.
Thirty amps is the largest of the three SDC converters, against 20A and 12A on the smaller units. That covers a substantial 12V load group on a 24V boat rather than a single instrument, and the input side draws roughly half the output current.
Non-isolated means the source and load share a ground, which is fine on a fiberglass hull but not on metal. A steel or aluminum vessel needs the isolated IDC series instead, and that distinction is about hull material rather than performance.
