Performance Metals Yamaha 40-100HP Transom Anode

The Performance Metals Yamaha Transom Anode fits Yamaha 40 to 100 hp outboards. It replaces Yamaha 6H1-45251-02. It mounts low on the transom bracket where it stays submerged.

Performance Metals makes its Navalloy aluminum anodes to military specification MIL-DTL-24779, and they work in salt, brackish and fresh water. An anode is a sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your drive, propeller and other underwater metal. Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc.

Mounting hardware and installation instructions are included. Clean the mounting surface to bare metal before installing so the anode makes good electrical contact.
