The Performance Metals Yamaha Counter Rotating Complete Anode Kit fits left-hand rotation Yamaha 150 hp outboards. That covers 2-stroke models from 1987 and later and 4-stroke models from 2004 and later. Counter-rotating engines use different anodes from standard rotation, so check before ordering.

Performance Metals makes its Navalloy aluminum anodes to military specification MIL-DTL-24779, and they work in salt, brackish and fresh water. An anode is a sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your drive, propeller and other underwater metal. Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc.

It includes 00127A (Yamaha 6G5-45251-02) and 00181A (Yamaha 6K1-45371-02) with mounting hardware and instructions. Clean the mounting surface to bare metal before installing so the anode makes good electrical contact.
