Description

The Ontario RAT 3 has a 4-inch black coated high carbon stainless drop point blade over a full extended tang at 8 inches overall, a laminated wood handle, a lanyard hole and a brown leather belt sheath.

Laminated wood is thin layers bonded under pressure with the grain crossing between them, which stops the movement and splitting that solid wood shows outdoors while keeping the look and warmth of timber. It is the fixed blade companion to Ontario's RAT folders, and the line built its reputation on being hard to fault at the price.

High carbon stainless splits the difference between families, holding an edge better than plain stainless while resisting the rust a carbon blade would pick up.
