Description
The Elk Ridge Fixed Blade has a 3-inch satin stainless drop point blade over a full extended tang at 6.88 inches overall, a burl wood handle, a lanyard hole and a black nylon belt sheath.
Burl is wood grown around a growth deformity, so the grain swirls in tight irregular figures rather than running straight. No two handles come out with the same pattern. It is cut from a section most sawmills treat as waste, and burl costs more than plain wood from the same log for that reason.
The extended tang runs to the butt, so the pommel can take a strike without loading the handle scales. At 6.88 inches overall with a 3-inch blade, this is a small fixed blade sized for detail work rather than chopping. Explore more Camp and Field Knives.
