The Browning Fixed Blade Hunter has a 4.75-inch satin stainless drop point blade at 9.5 inches overall, a camo burl wood handle, a stainless guard and pommel, and a black nylon belt sheath.

Camo burl is burl wood dyed in a mottled pattern, so the swirling irregular grain that burl already has is overlaid with color. The result differs on every handle twice over, once from the grain and once from how the dye takes. Burl comes from a growth deformity in the tree, a section most sawmills treat as waste, and it costs more than plain wood from the same log for that reason.

A stainless guard and pommel bracket the handle at both ends, keeping the hand behind the edge and letting the butt take a strike. The drop point sits the tip below the spine line for control, with a long belly behind it for skinning. Explore more Hunting Knives.
