The Rite Edge Hunter Wood Fixed Blade Knife with Sheath uses carbon steel rather than stainless, a polished 4-inch drop point blade backed by full tang construction, fitted to a brown wood handle and shipped complete with a leather sheath. Made in Pakistan.
Carbon steel differs from the stainless blades found on most of Rite Edge's other fixed blades, taking and holding a sharper edge more readily but requiring more upkeep to keep rust from forming after wet use, a wipe-down and light oiling after a day in the field goes a long way. A drop point blade curves gently down toward the tip from the spine rather than straight across, keeping the point strong and well centered rather than dropping below the spine's line the way a clip point does, which suits general hunting and field tasks better than a finer, more delicate point would.
Full tang construction holds that carbon steel the entire length of the handle, giving the piece added strength for hard use at a price point where a partial tang design would be more common on a comparable knife. The brown wood scales keep a traditional, understated look rather than anything flashy, and the included leather sheath means it's ready to carry on a belt straight out of the box without buying one separately.
