The Winchester Hunter has a 3.88-inch satin stainless drop point blade at 8 inches overall in a brown wood handle, stainless bolsters, a lanyard hole and a black nylon belt sheath.

The drop point is the standard hunting profile because the tip sits below the spine line, which keeps the point from catching on hide while opening an animal. The broad belly behind it does the skinning work. Stainless bolsters reinforce the handle where the wood meets the blade, the point that takes the most stress on a fixed blade, and they resist the corrosion that moisture from game would cause.
