The Elk Ridge Upswept Skinner has a 3-inch satin 3Cr13 stainless upswept blade with a full tang at 7 inches overall, an ivory POM handle with elk artwork, a lanyard hole and a black nylon belt sheath.

An upswept blade sweeps the edge upward toward the tip, lengthening the curved belly so more of it stays against hide through a stroke. That is what separates a skinner from a general hunting blade. POM is acetal, the same family as Delrin, and it resists the blood, moisture and chemicals field dressing involves without cracking.

The elk artwork is set into the handle rather than printed on the surface, so it cannot rub away with handling. 3Cr13 resists corrosion well and comes back to sharp quickly, which suits a knife used on wet game and touched up often. Explore more Hunting Knives.
