Description

The Marbles Small Skinner has a 3.5-inch satin stainless skinner blade at 7.5 inches overall, a stacked leather, stag bone and wood handle, a brass guard and pommel, and a brown leather belt sheath.

Three materials in one handle is the unusual part. Leather washers, stag bone and wood are threaded onto the tang in bands and shaped together, so the grip shows stripes of each running its length. They also age at different rates. Leather compresses and darkens, wood darkens more slowly, and bone stays pale, so the contrast sharpens over years rather than fading.

The skinner blade has a broad curved belly that rides along hide through a stroke, where a straight edge would need constant repositioning. Brass guard and pommel bracket the handle at both ends, holding the stacked materials in compression. Explore more Hunting Knives.
