Description

The Maxwell RC6 is a compact vertical rope/chain windlass built for smaller trailer boats. It handles a chain leader spliced to three-strand or 8-plait rope. It brings most of what the larger RC8 can do to a smaller, lower-cost package.

The in-line vertical gearbox and motor make installation quick for a boatyard or a do-it-yourselfer. It is built for durability and years of trouble-free use. The RC6 comes only as a low-profile unit, with no optional capstan drum.

The kit includes the windlass, an on/off breaker panel, a reversing solenoid, an up/down panel switch and a handle. That gives you powered up and down control from the helm. Make sure your rope-to-chain splice matches the gypsy size before installing. Compare it with the rest of our anchor windlasses.
