Maxwell HRC6 12V Horizontal Freefall Windlass

The Maxwell HRC6 is a compact 12V horizontal windlass built for automatic rope-and-chain anchoring with a maximum pull of 900 lb. It handles 1/4 in short-link chain and 1/2 in nylon rope, while Maxwell's pressure-arm rode management system controls the rope-to-chain transition inside an enclosed mechanism. A composite nylon through-deck hawse pipe helps guide the rode smoothly into the anchor locker.

The HRC6 uses a high-efficiency spur gearbox with a non-backwind mechanism and a heavy-duty dual-direction 600W motor. Automatic freefall allows the anchor to drop quickly from a helm or foot control, then disengages automatically when the up control is activated. The above-deck motor and drive are sealed in a watertight, hard-anodized marine-alloy case, and the motor can be removed for routine brush maintenance. Retrieval speed is rated at 108 ft/min.
