Description

The Ka-Bar Short USMC has a 5.25-inch black epoxy powder coated 1095 carbon steel clip point blade with a blood groove and USMC tang stamp at 9.25 inches overall, an oval stacked leather handle with a coated carbon steel guard.

This is the shortened USMC pattern, keeping the tang stamp and the fuller while dropping nearly two inches of blade. That makes it far easier to control for camp and utility work than the full-size knife. The blood groove is a fuller, a channel milled along the blade to cut weight while keeping the spine and edge intact, the same principle as an I-beam.
