The Ka-Bar Fixed Blade has a 7.75-inch black coated stainless clip point blade at 12.75 inches overall, a black rubberized synthetic handle, a stainless guard and a black polymer belt sheath.
At 7.75 inches this is a long fixed blade, past the point where a knife is a general tool and into territory where it chops and clears as much as it cuts. Stainless is an unusual choice at this size, where carbon dominates. It gives up some toughness for a blade that needs no drying and will not rust in a damp sheath.
