The Ka-Bar Short has a 5.25-inch black epoxy powder coated 1095 carbon steel clip point blade at 9.25 inches overall, an oval Kraton G handle with a coated carbon steel guard and butt, and a Kydex sheath.
This is the standard Ka-Bar fighting knife with two inches taken off the blade, which changes what it is for. A 5.25-inch blade handles camp and utility work more easily and rides on a belt without the length getting in the way. The oval handle section is the detail that matters in the hand. It tells you which way the edge faces by feel alone, without looking.
