Jabsco 2-9/16in 8-Blade Nitrile Impeller Kit

The Jabsco 920-0003-P Impeller Kit is an 8-blade nitrile impeller, 2-9/16 inches in diameter with a 2-inch width. It has a spline drive hub with a brass insert. This part number is also used in some truck-mounted pump-out units for the carpet cleaning trade, as well as in marine and industrial pumps.

Nitrile is chosen where the pump will handle oily water, waste water with cleaning chemicals, or light petroleum products. Eight blades leave more room between the vanes, so small solids pass through more easily than with a 12-blade impeller. That trade gives up a little pressure for better tolerance of dirty water.

Check the spline teeth on the shaft for wear when you change the impeller, since a rounded spline will slip under load. Flush the pump with clean water after pumping waste so residue does not dry on the new blades. Lubricate the blades with glycerin or impeller grease before fitting the cover.
