Description
Jabsco flexible impellers fit most makes and models of bronze flexible impeller engine cooling, bilge, transfer, and general purpose pumps. They go through rigorous quality processes at the factory to ensure reliable, efficient, long-lasting performance once installed.
This kit has 10 neoprene blades on a brass insert, sized at 2-9/16" diameter with a spline drive drive and a 2" shaft. Jabsco recommends replacing the impeller at least once a year, or sooner depending on engine duty, since a worn impeller is one of the more common causes of overheating at the worst possible time.
Replacement is straightforward: remove the end cover screws, then use an impeller removal tool or channel lock pliers on the hub rather than a screwdriver, which can damage the pump body and cause leaks. Always grease a new impeller before installing it, both to ease the fit into the pump bore and to protect the blades during that first prime. Explore more bilge and water pumps.
- 10 blades, neoprene construction
- 2-9/16" diameter, spline drive drive
- 2" shaft diameter, brass insert
- Jabsco recommends annual replacement
