Jabsco 2-9/16in 12-Blade Neoprene Impeller Kit

The Jabsco 18948-0001-P Impeller Kit is a 12-blade neoprene impeller, 2-9/16 inches in diameter and 1-5/8 inches wide. Its brass hub is set up for a key drive, using a key in the shaft to carry torque. It shares its diameter with several other Jabsco impellers, so width and drive style are what set it apart.

A 2-9/16-inch impeller can come in widths from about 1 inch to 3 inches, and each width goes with a different pump body. Measure the old impeller's width and confirm it uses a key before ordering. Using the wrong width either leaves a gap that kills suction or will not let the cover close.

Neoprene is the right compound for raw-water engine cooling and general seawater service. After replacing the impeller, run the engine and watch for a strong stream from the exhaust or tell-tale within a few seconds.
