Jabsco 2-7/16in 12-Blade Neoprene Impeller Kit

The Jabsco 18838-0001-P Impeller Kit carries 12 neoprene blades on a brass hub, at 2-7/16 inches in diameter and 1-1/4 inches wide. It is a key drive impeller, so a small rectangular key sits in a slot on the shaft and a matching slot in the hub. That key is what transfers the motor's torque to the impeller.

Twelve blades give a dense, smooth flow and good pressure, which suits engine cooling where steady water delivery matters. Neoprene is Jabsco's general-purpose compound for seawater and fresh water. Check the key and slot when you swap the impeller, since a worn key can let the hub slip and cut flow even with a new impeller.

Never pry the impeller out with a screwdriver, which can gouge the pump body and leave a leak path. An impeller puller or pliers gripping the hub works much better. Coat the new blades with glycerin or impeller grease and turn the shaft by hand as you push it in so the blades fold the right way.
