The Jabsco 9200-0023-P Impeller Kit is a 10-blade nitrile impeller measuring 1-19/32 inches across and 3/4 inch wide. The brass hub has a single flat drive, so it fits a D-shaped pump shaft. It is a small, fairly narrow impeller meant for compact pumps that need a little more output than the smallest sizes.
Ten blades give a steadier flow and a bit more pressure than an 8-blade impeller of similar size, at the cost of slightly less tolerance for debris. The nitrile rubber holds up well to oil, grease, and diesel residue, so this kit suits utility and bilge pumps that may see contaminated water. Like all flexible impellers, it should never run dry for more than a few seconds.
When you pull the old impeller, check each blade at its base for cracks, which usually show up there first. Inspect the wear plate and cover for grooves, because a scored surface lets water slip past the blades and cuts output.
