Jabsco 9-Blade Nitrile Impeller Kit 3-3/4-Inch

The Jabsco 6760-0003-P Impeller Kit is a 9-blade nitrile impeller, 3-3/4 inches in diameter, with a spline drive for a 1-inch shaft. The splined brass hub spreads torque evenly, which suits pumps that run long hours under load. Nitrile is Jabsco's oil-resistant compound, so the kit is meant for pumps that may see diesel, lube oil, or oily bilge water.

Neoprene impellers can swell and lose their shape when exposed to petroleum, while nitrile keeps its fit. That matters in engine room transfer pumps, oily bilge pumps, and some industrial applications. Nitrile is a little less flexible in cold water, so let the pump warm up slowly in cold climates. Jabsco marks its nitrile impellers with the -0003 suffix, which makes it easy to spot the compound on an old part.

Check the shaft splines for wear and the pump face for scoring whenever the impeller is out. Grease the blades before installing and turn the shaft as you press the impeller in so the vanes fold the correct way.
