Jabsco 9-Blade Neoprene Impeller Kit 3-3/4-Inch

The Jabsco 836-0001-P Impeller Kit is the neoprene version of Jabsco's 9-blade, 3-3/4-inch impeller. It shares the 836 body with the nitrile 836-0003-P, so the size and hub match and only the rubber compound differs. Neoprene is the standard choice for seawater and freshwater pumping. Choosing between the two comes down to the fluid: neoprene for water, nitrile when oil or fuel may be present.

Large impellers like this are found in high-volume transfer, deck wash, and engine cooling pumps. With nine blades and a large diameter, each vane sweeps a lot of water per turn. Neoprene handles sand and silt well, which is useful when the intake draws from shallow or muddy water. Because the blades bend far on every turn, a 3-3/4-inch impeller takes a set faster than a small one, so annual checks matter.

Before ordering, match the part number stamped on the old impeller or listed on the pump tag, and compare the hub drive with your pump shaft. Jabsco recommends replacing the impeller at least yearly, and a spare on board can save a trip if a blade breaks.
