The Faria Beede Chesapeake White 4-Inch Tachometer is a 4 inch tachometer reading to 4000 RPM for diesel engines with mechanical takeoff and variable ratio alternator signals. A built-in hourmeter logs engine time on the same dial. Watching RPM helps you find the most efficient cruise speed and spot problems early. Chesapeake White series styling gives it a perimeter-lighted white dial with blue and white graphics, a polished stainless steel bezel, a contoured white pointer and a domed glass lens.

An electronic tachometer counts pulses from the ignition system, alternator, a tach signal generator or a magnetic pickup sender. It connects to +12 volts, ground and one of those signal sources. A switch on the back tells the gauge how many pulses equal one engine revolution, so choosing the right setting is what makes the reading accurate.

It fits a 3.375 inch (85 mm) panel hole and runs on 12 volt negative ground systems, and it can be adapted for 24 volt systems. The factory part number is TD9108, and it is sold individually without a gauge cover. The case is plastic for corrosion resistance and long life. Browse more marine gauges.
