Faria Beede Chesapeake White 4-Inch Tachometer

The Faria Beede Chesapeake White 4-Inch Tachometer with Hourmeter is purpose-built for diesel engines running up to 4,000 RPM, compatible with mechanical takeoff or variable-ratio alternator signal sources. The perimeter-lit white dial carries Chesapeake's signature blue and white graphics behind a domed glass lens, framed in a polished stainless steel bezel.

This tachometer works by tracking electrical pulses coming off the ignition, the alternator, a dedicated tach signal generator, or a magnetic pickup sender, whichever the engine actually gives, and wiring it in is straightforward: +12VDC, a ground, and that one signal lead. A rear switch tells the tachometer exactly how many pulses to expect per revolution, so it's calibrated correctly for the specific diesel it's paired with rather than reading an approximation.
