Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 4000 RPM Tachometer

The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 4-Inch Tachometer is built for diesel engines running up to 4,000 RPM, compatible with mechanical takeoff or variable-ratio alternator signals. The perimeter-lit black dial carries Chesapeake's blue and white graphics behind a domed glass lens, fitted to a polished stainless bezel with a contoured white pointer.

The gauge reads pulses from whatever source the diesel gives up, ignition, alternator, a dedicated tach generator, or a magnetic pickup, and wires through +12VDC, ground, and that signal lead. A switch on the back of the housing sets the correct pulses-per-revolution ratio, so the tachometer reads accurately for the specific engine installed.
