Description

The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 4000 RPM tachometer is the diesel version of this 4 in gauge. Diesels run at lower speeds than gas engines, so the 0 to 4000 RPM scale gives finer resolution where the engine actually operates. The black dial matches the rest of the Chesapeake Black series.

It reads engine speed from alternator pulses, a tach signal generator, or a magnetic pickup sender. Wiring is three connections: 12V, ground, and the signal source. A switch on the back sets the pulses per revolution so the reading is accurate for your engine.

The gauge fits a 3.375 in (85 mm) panel hole and runs on 12V negative ground, and it can be adapted for 24V. Faria's part number is TD9127, sold individually without a gauge cover. Browse more Marine Gauges for matching diesel gauges.
