Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 6000 RPM Tachometer

The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 6000 RPM Tachometer is a 4 inch tachometer reading to 6000 RPM for gas inboard and I/O engines. Watching RPM helps you find the most efficient cruise speed and spot problems early. Chesapeake Black series styling gives it a perimeter-lighted black dial with blue and white graphics, a polished stainless steel bezel, a contoured white pointer and a domed glass lens.

An electronic tachometer counts pulses from the ignition system, alternator, a tach signal generator or a magnetic pickup sender. It connects to +12 volts, ground and one of those signal sources. A switch on the back tells the gauge how many pulses equal one engine revolution, so choosing the right setting is what makes the reading accurate.

It fits a 3.375 inch (85 mm) panel hole and runs on 12 volt negative ground systems, and it can be adapted for 24 volt systems. The factory part number is TC9785, and it is sold individually without a gauge cover.
