The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black 6000 RPM Tachometer is built for gas inboard and I/O engines, carrying Chesapeake's familiar perimeter-lit black dial with blue and white graphics, domed glass lens, and polished stainless bezel with a contoured white pointer.

Like the rest of Faria's tachometer lineup, accurate readings depend on matching this gauge to the correct pulse source aboard: ignition, alternator, a dedicated signal generator, or a magnetic pickup sender. Once wired to +12VDC, ground, and that source, a rear switch sets the pulses-per-revolution ratio so the display reads true for the specific engine it's paired with.
