Description
The Digital Yacht WND100 is a masthead wind sensor with a 20 meter cable. Wind transducers live a hard life up the mast, and Digital Yacht built this one to last. It uses UV-, saltwater- and impact-resistant plastics with Igildur bearings for long life and corrosion resistance.
Data comes down a super-thin 20 meter cable as NMEA 0183. That keeps it compatible with legacy instrument systems and current multifunction displays. The output rate is 5 Hz and can be configured.
It runs on 12 or 24 volts DC with minimal power consumption. The thin cable is easier to route through a mast than a bulky instrument cable.
