Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor, USB Output

The Digital Yacht GPS160 TriNav Sensor with USB output connects a marine-grade GNSS receiver straight to a PC, Mac or Linux computer. It's a good fit for navigation software on a laptop or onboard computer. The USB variant skips the need for a separate serial adapter.

Digital Yacht's TriNav technology uses GPS, GLONASS and Galileo at the same time and combines all three for the best fix, typically under 1 meter of accuracy. The 72-channel receiver can also be set to run on a single system, such as Galileo only. An anti-spoofing algorithm helps it reject interference and hold a reliable position.

Navigation programs on a computer read the same NMEA data a plotter would, and DIP switches inside the sensor set the sentence formats and an update rate of up to 18 Hz. The sensor also takes an external MOB switch, which generates a synthesized AIS MOB message for the software to display.
