The Digital Yacht iKonvert NMEA 2000 USB Gateway acts as a intelligent, flexible bridge between an NMEA 2000 network and any software application, delivering data either as raw binary PGN for developers who want full control, or converted to the older, far more widely supported NMEA 0183 format.

Since virtually every popular marine navigation program running on a PC, Mac, or Linux system can already read NMEA 0183, iKonvert gives those applications a simple, reliable, and cost-effective path into a modern NMEA 2000 network without needing a rewrite or a proprietary driver. Setup is handled through internal DIP switches, set to the desired data mode, and iKonvert extracts exactly the data requested from the network and delivers it at the format and baud rate the connected application expects. Developers building new tools or comfortable decoding NMEA 2000 PGNs directly can access that raw data path as well.
